Big Brothers Big Sisters get a $5,000 shopping spree at Academy Sports + Outdoors

ZANESVILLE, Ohio -Academy Sports + Outdoors has teamed up with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Appalachian Ohio for a $5,000 back-to-school shopping spree.

On Monday evening, 20 littles were given a $250 gift card to shop with their bigs for new school clothes, backpacks and sports equipment for the upcoming school year.
The Texas based sporting goods chain says they are committed to helping students gear up for success on and off the field.

With over 300 stores across 21 states, Academy says that Monday’s donation to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Appalachian Ohio is one of several across its footprint to help deserving kids get the essentials they need for a fun and confident start to the school year.
