Jonathan Bye Days Returns to Byesville

BYESVILLE, OH – A festival full of history and family fun is returning to Byesville.

From August 22nd until August 24th, the Village of Byesville will be hosting the Jonathan Bye Days Festival to honor the legacy of their founder.

May of the Village of Byesville, Jay Jackson, says they’ve hosted this event for a long time but the Pandemic slowed things down a little.

He says this year’s Jonathan Byes Days will be the biggest and best festival yet.

“This year it’s back, bigger and better than ever and it’s got a fun twist to it.” Mayor Jackson said. “On that Saturday night, the 23rd will be the unveiling of what we call ‘Patriot Park’, which is a veteran and first responders tribute park, so we’re pretty excited about that.”

Mayor Jackson says there will be rides for the kids, food vendors, and a beer garden for adults.

He says there will also be live performances all weekend long as well as fun competitions for everyone in the family to take part in.

“Part of the event is about the history and heritage of Byesville and the other part that makes it huge is once again the opening of Patriots Park which is, really it’s something that’s pretty meaningful to me,” Mayor Jackson explained. “Because it’s a tribute to those people that are the true heroes that don’t really get to do justice that they really deserve, I mean those are everyday heroes and people that are making this thing happen.”
