Meet this Week’s Pet of the Week: Alice
ZANESVILLE, OH – This Week’s Pet of the Week is a shy but sweet pup.
Meet Alice! A 4-month-old coonhound who’s spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and is eagerly awaiting her forever family.
April Gibson, the Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Society, says Alice came to them about a month ago with her brother Arthur but due to her age, she hasn’t been around a lot of people.
“They’re very gentle, they’re very skittish, you know.” Gibson said. “They need to be socialized with people, they are very loving, they don’t mind their baths, they don’t mind their swimming pools. And you know, she’s ready to go.”
Gibson says Alice’s perfect home would be with an older family that loves to go on walks or one with children where she can run and play with.
She also says the Shelter is getting ready for the 2nd annual Wheels For Whiskers Cruise-In Car Show happening at Zane State College.
Gibson says they have once again partnered up with the Zane Grey “Ole” Auto Club to host this event to care for the animals in the community.
“It’s going to be this Saturday, from 3 until 7 I believe. It’s going to be over at Zane State College, a little bit different location but it’s going to be across the street.” Gibson said. “You’re going to see it just as you pull in, so they’re going to have the really cool cars out there, it’s just really awesome to see everybody come together from the community. They give us half of the, I believe it’s only $10 to enter and so we get half of that and half of the 50/50 so we appreciate them.”
