Muskingum County Welcomes Fall with Seasonal Events

ZANESVILLE, OH – Fall is in the air, and Muskingum County is ready to welcome visitors this season.

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Convention and Visitors Bureau is rolling out their fall campaign called “Plan Your Perfect Fall Day in Muskingum County.” The campaign highlights the many activities that make autumn special and encourage visitors and locals to explore the area. From pumpkin picking and corn mazes to strolling through downtown or joining an evening ghost tour, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Organizers hope the variety of events will inspire visitors to plan a day trip or weekend stay in Muskingum County.

“This is a seasonal campaign with Visit Zanesville where we work together to promote all of the tourist attractions in the area. Not only are these events and locations great for locals, but they also bring in a ton of visitors. That’s our goal. We work with hotels to provide hotel packages and it’s really to promote all of the wonderful things in Muskingum County for fall. ” CVB Manager, Jordin Harmer said.

The campaign is reaching people through social media, email, print, and partnerships with local outlets. Featured highlights this season include the Y-City Scarecrow contest, downtown Zanesville ghost tours, and McDonald’s Greenhouse & Corn Maze.

“One of the major things that families like to do a lot is go to McDonald’s Greenhouse & Corn Maze. They are celebrating their 30th year this year which is super exciting for them. We also have a handful of wineries and breweries in the area, and we have a lot of different outdoor activities for people to enjoy.” Harmer said.
