31st Annual Frazeysburg Lions Club Labor Day Car Show

FRAZEYSBURG, Ohio – Each Labor Day the Village of Frazeysburg celebrates the holiday by bringing a little automotive excitement to the normally quiet little burg.

The Frazeysburg Lions Club and the Frazeysburg Revitalization Association held their annual car-show fundraiser on the grounds surrounding the old township building.

“The registration fee for the car is $10. We do have door-prizes, which are strictly for the people bringing cars. And if you bring used glasses, we collect used glasses, If you bring used glasses, you get extra door prize tickets. We will be having a 50/50 and that’s open to everybody,” Frazeysburg Lions Club Secretary and Treasurer Dan Osborn said.

Proceeds from the event support the village swimming pool, holiday fireworks displays and families in need, along with other charities that are assisted by the Lions Club International.

“It’s a fun place to be,” Osborn said. “We have good food. The Lions Club is furnishing pies, cakes and brownies, that type of stuff. The FRA, which is the Frazeysburg Revitalization Association, we partner with them. They do the hot food. I’m not sure what they’re having but it’s going to be probably brats and hotdogs, possibly noodles. I’m not sure.”

Osborn said the car-show judging is a light-hearted formality and that event has drawn over 100 participants in years past but usually draws around 50 cars, trucks, dune buggies or whatever the entrant wants to show.
