Genesis HealthCare, Zane State Announce Collaboration

ZANESVILLE, OH – Genesis HealthCare System and Zane State College are teaming up to expand educational opportunities in healthcare to those in our area.

The collaboration includes closing the critical workforce gaps, elevating education access, driving regional retention, spurring economic growth, and explaining their program offerings to students.

This is a community wide, strategic collaboration between Genesis and Zane State. Both institutions will remain independently governed with Zane State maintaining authority over their academic affairs and Genesis maintaining authority over its clinical operations.

Some of the key components of the partnership include Zane State leading the academic programming and creating career pathways from high school to college degrees with student support services.

Genesis will offer tuition reimbursements, clinical experiences, worked based learning opportunities, as well as real-time support into program development.

There will also be an annual, co-authored impact report that will track the shared metric data including enrollment, retention, credential attainment, and job placement.
