Do You Know Your Animals? A Look into Fair Preparation

Guernsey County, OH –Whiz reporters Aniyah Hart and Shylin Costello took a trip to the Guernsey County Fair and learned a thing or two about showman ship and what goes into preparing for a county fair.

Fairs aren’t just about showing animals. For many young exhibitors, it also means hitting the books.

Before stepping into the show ring, these fair exhibitors had to study their animals, from feed and care, to breed facts and proper showmanship. The test is all part of proving just how much they know about their livestock. 

All that preparation and studying pays off once they enter the ring. It’s not just about handling the animals, but about showing responsibility, confidence, and dedication.
