Zanesville Police Investigate Stabbing

The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a stabbing incident. It happened Thursday night just after 9:00 p.m. in the 1000 block of Brandywine Boulevard.  Detective Sergeant Harry Taylor says officers were called to an apartment complex in connection to a fight.  When police arrived they found that a stabbing had occured at that location.  Taylor says a 31-year-old male suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken to the hospital.  A 51-year-old male was found by police to have suffered a physical assault.  Detective Taylor says both men were taken into custody early Friday morning and are in the Zanesville City Jail.  Taylor says the motive for the stabbing appears to be retaliation.  The incident remains under investigaton.  No other details have been released.
