Meet Homer, This Week’s Pet of the Week
Each week we spotlight a new furry friend as the pet of the week.
Today we introduce Homer, a 5-year-old Lab and Pit mix. Homer was brought to the shelter as an owner’s surrender two weeks ago. Executive Director, Jody Murray, said he’s ready for new loving companionship.
“We would like to get him out really quickly because, when dogs come into the shelter they’re around 50 other dogs and it’s kind of stressful for them and since he came from a good home we’d like to see him get out of here really quickly and not have to spend a lot of time here at the shelter. He’s such a good boy that he deserves a good home and we want to get him out there,” said Murray.
Murray said Homer is an indoor dog and is very friendly, Murray also told us he does well with other cats and dogs.
“You can tell he’s been somebody’s pet just by his behavior. He is very friendly, you can touch him and handle him and play with him, he’s very good around people,” said Murray.
Homer’s cost is $115, if you’re interested in adopting you can visit the animal shelter society at 1430 Newark Rd, Zanesville, OH 43701.
