Ford’s Flowers Still Stands and Remains Open After a Vehicle Crashes Through Its Walls

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A car accident has severely damaged Ford’s Flower store front but their employees and flower orders are safe and sound.
Zanesville Police and Fire Departments responded to the call Thursday evening at where a two-car accident led to one of the vehicles crashing into the store front and barely missing an employee. One person from each vehicle were sent away via ambulance for reasons not known at this time.
Brigitta Smith is the owner for Ford’s Flowers and wanted to assure everyone that this would not slow them down or set them back.
“I’d like people to know we are currently in the middle of a big homecoming weekend. It’s probably our biggest weekend because there’s several schools.” Smith said. “The police and firemen have been so wonderful. They got the power back on. My amazing husband sure the shop and secure everything inside and we’ll be able to work out of the back.”
While the shop may look rough on the outside, the flowers waiting to be picked up by customers managed to avoid harm.
“So I just wanted to let everybody know not to panic. The coolers somehow were not damaged that had the corsages in them. We also have a couple of events going on so we’re working on it now,” Smith said.
