ZANESVILLE, OH- A local nonprofit is using golf to help strengthen families. ForeverDads hosted its 16th annual Champions of Fatherhood Golf Classic today at EagleSticks Golf Club.

The fundraiser drew in over 120 golfers to support the group’s mission. The event also featured a ball drop contest and the Pathway of Honor that recognized fathers across the community.

“This is a major fundraiser for ForeverDads that we do each year, this is our 16th annual Champions of Fatherhood Golf Classic, it’s grown to be one of the best outings and golf tournaments that we have in Muskingum County, and it’s something that we’re really proud of,” said ForeverDads Executive Director, Ryan Sheppard.

ForeverDads runs programming designed to reduce father absence and increase engagement between dads and their families.

“Our goal is to educate, equip, and encourage men to develop healthy relationships with their children, their families, and their communities, and we do that through a variety of ways. We’d love to invite everybody down to our office on Madison Street in Putnam and show everything that we have to offer,” said Sheppard.

Proceeds from today’s event will help to fund those programs. To learn more about ForeverDads and their programs, you can visit ForeverDads.com.
