Eloise E. Sutton, 101 of Blue Rock, passed away peacefully at Clay Gardens on Saturday, October 4, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her family.

Eloise was born on January 28, 1924, in Morgan County. She is the daughter of the late Monte and Mina (Hill) Roberts. Eloise was employed in the office of Finley Packing Plant, where she worked as an administrator. At home, she devoted herself to caring for her family and raising three children alongside her husband, Walter, and tending to their farm. She found joy in cooking, baking pies, enjoying the farm, and spending time with her cherished family.

Eloise is survived by her two sons, Dave (Lynda) Sutton and Don (Debbie) Sutton; her five grandchildren, Nicole (Aaron) Lee, Alyson (Shane) Centers, Amanda (Chris) Hillyer, James (Carrie) Jones, and Aaron (Peggy) Anderson; her several great-grandchildren; her many great-great grandchildren; her sister, Norma Thompson; as well as countless nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Eloise is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter R. Sutton, whom she married on October 9, 1952, and who passed away on April 22, 2025; her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon (Ferrel) Anderson; her granddaughter, Amy Ross; and her siblings, Catherine Porter Terry, Merle Maxwell, Edith Roberts, Ardith Dailey, Donna Bell, and Hershel Roberts.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the hospice caregivers who showed Eloise kindness and compassion, Amanda Penrod, Jen Woodring, Tiffany McFee, and her in-home caregivers, Amanda May and Ariel Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Eloise’s honor to the Ark Spring Cemetery Association, which can be mailed to 8085 Big Muskie Drive, Chandlersville, OH 43727.

Visitations for Eloise will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls. A funeral service will follow visitations at 1 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Darren Tolbert will officiate the service. Eloise will be reunited with Walter at Ark Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
