Scout Milliser

Scout Milliser, 82, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away peacefully in his home in the presence of his daughter and two of his grandchildren on Friday, October 3, 2025.
Born May 11, 1943 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Charles and Wanda Linn Milliser.
Scout retired from the Lancaster Holiday Inn as a Executive Chef of 44 years and 1 month when they closed the door in 2008. He officially retired as an employee from East Main Street Krogers.
Survived by his four children, Charles W., Jerry S., Kevin J. (Melissa), all of Lancaster and Betty (Daniel) Purvis of Junction City; 8 grandchildren, Corey (Heather) Purvis, Cameron (Emily) Purvis, Kaitlyn Purvis, Keenan Milliser, Caylee Milliser, Damian (Tiffany) Hunt, Jasmine (Jeremy) Weller and Destiny Milliser; also survived by 8 great-grandchildren with an additional great-grandson on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Charles (Roberta) Milliser and his sister, Eva Anthony, all of Lancaster; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends; close friends, Deb and Paul Bales of Florida, Mark Vorys of South Carolina, Melissa Church and Rod Newell, both of Lancaster.
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by 4 brothers and 8 sisters; close friend, John Seesholtz, Sandy Friesner and Alma Vorys.
Scout’s family would like to extend a very special heartfelt Thank you to FairHoPe Hospice for the professionalism, care and love extended to their father over the last 3 months.
Calling hours will be held from 2-4pm & 6-8pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the funeral home with Pastor Samuel Ramsey officiating.
Burial will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery, Junction City, Ohio.
