Clyde Scott

Clyde “Scotty” Scott, 85 of New Concord, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on October 7, 2025, at the Altercare of Cambridge Nursing Home.
He was born on October 12, 1939, in Boulder County, Colorado, son of the late Albert Scott and Kenova (Sandy) Scott. Clyde was a proud veteran of the United State Army and was Protestant by faith. He worked as a ranch hand and as a hunting guide for many years in the Southwest. He was well known for his artwork, having displayed his work in museums and murals on many buildings like Mr. Lee’s Banquet Room and on Deep Cut Tavern. He loved nature, horses, and being outdoors. Clyde lived a full free life on his own terms.
Clyde is survived by his sons, Clifford (Mary) Scott of Texas, Cord (Jackie) Scott of Arizona; sisters, Auncie Haffner, Della Johnson, Mary (David) McDowell, Kenova (Ted) Korte; special friends, Linda and Mack Rue of Arizona; many friends from the DD of Arizona; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene Scott, David Scott, William Scott, Lee Scott and Albert Scott; sister, Jeanette Scott; special dog, Skeet; and his beloved mule, Amy.
Per Clyde’s wishes, no calling hours or services will be held at this time.
