We Lov Pets Celebrates 25 Years in the Community

ZANESVILLE, OH – Two organizations are coming together to celebrate a big milestone.

Starting today, Thursday, and going until Saturday at 3PM the Animal Shelter Society will have about a dozen of their felines at We Love Pets at a special adoption rate.

April Gibson, the Executive Director of the Animal Shelter, says to celebrate We Lov Pets 25 years here in the community, the cats up for adoption will be $25.

“They are our partners, they’re the ones who make it happen for us while we’re back at the Shelter taking care of over 100 animals.” Gibson said. “Miranda and her group do an amazing job, we can count on them and as a part of the adoption process at the Shelter there’s actually a coupon in your go-home bag for 20% off here at We Lov Pets, so we’re really thankful.”

Gibson says if you’re planning to adopt one of their cats during the We Lov Pets anniversary special, there’s a little bit of homework you need to do before you stop in.

She says to bring over any vet records for any pets currently in your home and if you’re a renter, bring in your lease agreement to make sure it’s okay to have a pet.

Miranda Cartwright, the Manager of We Lov Pets, says she’s thankful for this partnership with the Shelter because at the end of the day they have the same goal; help all animals find a loving home.

“I’ve been here for 16 of those years, so to be a part of the 25th anniversary means a lot. It’s exciting.” Cartwright said.

We Lov Pets is located at 3853 Northpointe Drive and will have specials running all day Saturday to celebrate their time here in the community.
