Make Memories This Fall at the Mall

Good City Creatives Saturday Art Club

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Colony Square Mall has become a generational gathering place for residents who share a love for autumn.

Colony Square Mall General Manager Jessica Brailer detailed some upcoming fall themed events that showcase the festive nature of the season.

“So the first thing that we have to mention is tomorrow, October 11th, we are partnering with Goodcity Creatives and we have a Saturday Afternoon Art Club,” Brailer said. “This is a free event for all ages starting at 1 O’clock tomorrow afternoon, located in the space next to Picnic Pizza. They’re going to be offering a fun fall themed project for people to come out and participate with.”

Brailer recommends visiting Perry’s Glo-Putt to see their black-lit Halloween themed miniature golf course and purchasing your Halloween costumes and decorations at the Spirit Halloween store, where the JoAnn Fabric store used to be.

“Next we have the Fall Craft and Vendors Show. This has become very popular. We have dozens of vendors that will be set up throughout here in the mall. You’ll see lots of fun, fall-themed decorations from Halloween to Thanksgiving type decorations, homemade goods, we have specialty wreaths and floral arrangements, crocheted toys, some freeze dried candy, a little bit of everything. So we’re really excited and this is a very well attended event. So one of our best craft and vendor shows, we want to remind everyone that’s the weekend of the 24th,” Brailer said.

Rounding out the Month of October is the annual Say Boo to Hunger food drive and Trick or Treating event that will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 30th. By donating a non-perishable food item, your kids can trick or treat in a safe, climate controlled environment while helping local food pantries feed those who are struggling.
