NEWARK, Ohio-Â The Licking County Crime Stoppers are offering holiday tips for residents in the area as a result of recent home and car break-ins and thefts in Licking County.
They suggest:
-To not leave packages visible in your car, to lock them in your trunk or take them into your home.
-To not leave wallets, purses or garage door openers in your car.
-When leaving for an extended period of time, designated someone to watch your house and collect your mail.
-Do not display holiday gifts visible through windows or doors of your home.
-If you’re having packages delivered to your home, schedule a specific day and time or provide specific instructions for a delivery place out of public view.
