New Lexington’s Beard signs with Tiffin

New Lexington softball standout Destyn Beard has signed to continue her career at Division II Tiffin University. 

The catcher and first baseman chose the Dragons over Ashland, Mount Vernon Nazarene and Bowling Green.

"I want to be able to show what I learned in travel ball and high school and how many years I put into softball," said Beard, who plans to major in digital forensics and criminalistics.

Beard was named honorable mention all district last season.

The Dragons are currently 27-19-1 overall and 12-10-1 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
