ODOT Guernsey County Hiring Event

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – As winter approaches, so does the need for the Ohio Department of Transportation to hire workers to keep their roads safe.

ODOT District 5 Public Information Officer Chas Cosgrave announced a seasonal hiring event in Guernsey County that looks to help delegate the responsibilities that are brought by winter weather. 

“We’re hosting a hiring event tomorrow, November 1st, at our Guernsey County garage. That’s taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We’re specifically looking for CDL drivers, with a Class A or B CDL, with a tanker endorsement without an airbrake restriction. You can actually go online to apply for that at careers.ohio.gov or come visit us in-person,” Cosgrave said.

By visiting the garage, you can talk with the ODOT employees and see some of the equipment you would be asked to operate. And if you bring your paperwork, such as your resume and CDL, you can apply on the spot.

“We also need help in Coshocton County, Fairfield County and Licking County,” Cosgrave said.

The Guernsey County ODOT garage is located at 6490 Glenn Hwy, in Cambridge.
