Cathy “Kate” Saunders

Cathy “Kate” S. Saunders, 68, of New Lexington, Ohio died on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at FairHoPe Hospice, The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio.

Born on July 14, 1957, in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late Norman “Pete” and Jeannine Boudinot Wolfe.

Kate was a graduate of New Lexington High school class of 1975, a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Her first job was at Luigi’s Pizza with her lifelong best friend Candy Benedict. She worked for the Perry County Clerk of Courts for over 30 years and after retirement she was employed at Roberts Winegardner Funeral Home where she gained a work family she loved. Kate’s most beloved job was being a Mom and Nana, she loved her kids, grandkids and entire family with fierce unconditional love. Kate’s smile and ability to comfort you with wise words of encouragement, delicious food or a kind hug will never be forgotten.
Her friends and family will always remember her for knowing how to have a good time. Last year Kate received the gift of life from an unknown organ donor, she was extremely grateful for this selfless individual and their family. Her family would love it if when Kate crosses your mind, please smile and know she loved you all.

She is survived by children, Matthew (Renee) Price and Kelli (Bryce) Price; grandchildren, Levi and Lyla Price, Hayley Bash, Michaela Rollins and Cayson Keister; sister, Diane Ogden; brother, Jeff Wolfe; niece, Amy Reeves; nephews, Robb Ogden and Dylan Wolfe and many special friends

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Ruby” Saunders; brother- in- law, Joe Ogden; sister- in- law, Pam Wolfe; Aunt, Joanne Boudinot and Uncle, Robert Boudinot.

Calling hours will be held from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio and from 10:00am to 11:00am at the Church on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, November 10, 2025 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 201 West Brown Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastor Kristin Santiago officiating.

Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery
