Teddy Crozier

Crozier Ted

Teddy Lee Crozier, Sr., 58, of Dresden, Ohio died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, November 5, 2025.

Born September 22, 1967 in Zanesville, Ohio, he was a son of the late Hazel & Paul Crozier, Sr. and a 1985 Graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Ted was a member of North Terrace Church of Christ, Friends of the Dresden Parks, Dresden American Legion Post 399, and Dresden Fire Department for 29 years. He worked as a safety engineer for Cleveland Cliffs for over 26 years. Ted served on the Dresden Village Council for 15 years, six of those years he served as president. Ted became Mayor of Dresden in October of 2024 and recently won re-election. He was proud to serve his community.

Ted loved baseball and softball, playing both in his younger days alongside his brother, Terry. He took that love for softball and used it to teach the next generation of players to love it as well. His commitment showed through his dedication as a coach for Tri-Valley High School Softball for 17 years and OUZ Softball for over 15 years; along with his current role as league director for Tri-Valley Youth League Softball.

Ted lived a life defined by his love and dedication, especially for his family and cherished grandchildren, that which he is the most proud of. Ted never met a stranger, his kind and uplifting spirit made everyone that he met feel like an instant friend. He would genuinely do anything for anyone. Ted’s generosity was matched only by his non-stop work ethic that was like no other. Ted’s love for his community and the people in it showed deeply in the lasting friendships he made and the great effort he put into making Dresden a better place. As a life time resident of Dresden, Ted was so proud to serve the Village as Mayor. His laughter, dedication, and big heart will truly be missed.

Surviving is his loving wife, Karen Sue (Butcher) Crozier whom he married on July 26, 2008; three children, Megan (Kyle) Watson, Matthew (Jocelyn) Salmons, and Teddy L. Crozier, Jr.; “Pappy” to four grandchildren, Brynleigh and Josephine (JoJo) Watson, Makinley (Kate) and Braxton Salmons; seven siblings, twin brother Terry (Pamela) Crozier, Lois (Mike) Buckenberger, Paul (Nancy) Crozier, Linda McVay, Donna Cochran, Rod Rollison, and Rich (Denise) Rollison; brother in law, Dave Untied; special fur baby, Sissy and many nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.
