Jack McDonald

Jack A. McDonald, age 80, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away Friday November 7, 2025 at Altercare Zanesville. He was born July 6, 1945 in Zanesville, OH to the late Jack R. “Bob” McDonald and Dorothy O’Bannon McDonald Hill. Jack retired as a toolmaker from Anchor Glass Container and a Union Representative with the USWA and was also in the Army Reserves. He was a devoted member of the Amity #5 Masonic Lodge, enjoyed golfing with his buddies, especially his work buddies and loved spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Todd McDonald, Jennifer (Christopher) Elma and Lindsey (William Everett II) Gibson; 6 grandchildren: Alexander C. Elma, Zachary A. McDonald, Ashley E. Elma, Dylan T. McDonald, Grayson E. Gibson and Kyler E. Gibson; 2 great grandchildren: Teagan M. Monnett and Tyson A. McDonald; brothers, Michael D. (Jane) McDonald and Scott (Missy) McDonald; and a sister, Luann (Robert) Tilton; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving companion of many years, Denise Dougherty.
