Sign up to be in the South Zanesville Christmas Parade on Nov. 23

Annual Christmas Parade

SOUTH ZANESVILLE, Ohio – As we march onward into the holiday season, there’s time to sign-up to march in the Annual Story Book South Zanesville Christmas Parade.

You can sign up for the parade by visiting the South Zanesville Village office, Community Bank, or North Valley Bank and filling out a packet by Nov. 21. The parade is organized by the Zanesville South Business Association and sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1058. Kaitlyn Novaria is the president of the Zanesville South Business Association and is excited to see the parade march down South Maysville Avenue.

“So for me, I use to go to it as a kid and I was in it for both of my parents as a kid,” Novaria said. “So, it’s really cool to be behind the scenes to put it all together as an adult and kind of, you know, being back to my roots being from this area.”

With the cancellation of the parade in downtown Zanesville, the Annual Story Book South Zanesville Christmas Parade is expected to be larger this year with around 100 floats. Zanesville South Business Association trustee Russell Taylor shares what he is looking forward to most about the event.

“Seeing all the kids come out and see Santa Claus. It’s always a big parade and crowds of people and just see the kids enjoy the parade and different people getting in it and the floats and it’s just a festive time, that time of year,” Taylor said.

You can reach out to Novaria using the email at KaitlynNovaria@gmail.com to get your packet or visit the South Zanesville Village office, Community Bank or North Valley Bank to sign up by Nov. 21.
