The Chatty Cat Cafe celebrates more than 400 adoptions made

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – You can join the Chatty Cat Cafe on Sunday afternoon to help them celebrate a major milestone.

The combination of coffee shop and cat foster home, located at the Colony Square Mall in Zanesville, is celebrating over 400 adoptions that the Chatty Cat Cafe has facilitated since they opened in June of 2023.

“Since then, it has been a whirl wind. When we first opened, we didn’t really know what to expect,” said Erica Roberts, the owner of the cafe. “The cat cafe was completely new to the area, not something anyone had done here before and you know I kind of wanted to combine my years of rescue experience with something else that I love which is coffee in a way that helps us maintain and helps us move forward rescue but also helps get cats adopted much faster. So, the journey to get there has been a roller coaster from one learning lesson to another.”

The party is from noon to 3 p.m. on Nov. 16 with  a chance to win a $40 Chatty Cat Cafe gift card, half off discounts on cat lounge visits all day long, and the first 40 guests get a free Catty Caramel Latte.

“I really just hope that it is a massive party, that everyone just comes to celebrate with us. I know our birthday party, we had a really big turnout,” Roberts said. “So, I’m hoping to see a lot of people here tomorrow, even just to, you know, look in the window, check out the cats, say hello. Just get to know more about who we are and what we’re about. I think there’s a lot of people that still don’t know really what the Chatty Cat Cafe is and how we do what we do or why there’s a lounge fee or, you know, what the coffee is for. And I’d just love people to come and check us out and say hi and kind of get to experience it a little bit. ”
