After Hours shopping event with festive performances at the Elk’s Eye Art Market

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Elk’s Eye Art Market in downtown Zanesville has a musical event planned to start the holiday shopping season.
The art market located on 4th Street is normally open from 10 to 6 on Friday but for this Friday, you can join them for an after hours event until 8 p.m. with festive live music.
“We’re going to start our Christmas shopping season off right. We’re going to be open downtown till 8 p.m. but we’re going to have help with our friends at the Y-City Barber Shop Chorus. We’re going to have a whole group down here from 6-7 [p.m.] singing Christmas carols and getting us in the spirit,” said Stephanie Bridwell, co-owner of the Elk’s Eye Art Market. “So, it’s a nice way to enjoy some local cheer, get in the mood and have a great time getting ready for Christmas and the holidays. ”
The Elk’s Eye Art Market has available artwork from 35 different artists with a wide array of mediums featured like woodwork, ceramics, paintings, and metalwork. Bridwell says she’s looking forward to see people come together for great musical performances and great artwork.
“We’ve enjoyed having the barber shop quartets here in the past on [ArtCoz] First Friday [Art Walk]. We have great acoustics. This is an old building with these great wood floors and with the whole choir we’re going to have a really great sound that’s going to be a lot of fun for everybody to listen to,” Bridwell said.
You can learn more about the downtown art market by following them on Facebook and the After Hours event is this Friday from 6-8 p.m.
