ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Big Give is your chance to help local nonprofits with the most bang for your buck. The Muskingum County Community Foundation or MCCF, is celebrating their 40th anniversary with a donation campaign called The Big Give.

From now until Dec. 2, which is also known Giving Tuesday, the MCCF is awarding $40,000 in matching funds for seven organizations in the county.

“It was our 40th anniversary over the entire year of 2025 and we thought ‘what a great way to wrap up that celebration by using $40,000 to give back to the community.’ We could have used that $40,000 on a big party or something like that but we thought ‘what would make the biggest impact?’ And, we thought by having this match competition, really would do that. And for us, it’s just been a tremendous honor to be able to support our community for 40 years, to have donors that have trusted us, that have looked at us as an organization that will be able to honor their wishes in perpetuity.”

The organizations include ArtCoz, the Carr Center, The Muskingum County Literacy Council, Forever Dads, the Museum Association of East Muskingum, and the Ohio District Council of Pentecostal Churches.

“… we would encourage anybody, whether they have a fund here at the community foundation or want to support their favorite nonprofit, to consider giving on Giving Tuesday, to help with The Big Give in that Giving Tuesday to help strengthen our local nonprofits. Because, the more strength they have and the more they’re able to support our community, the more impact they’re able to have and a better community we have.”

You can donate online by visiting MCCF.org and The Big Give runs through Dec. 2.
