Gina Marie Hodge, 52, of Crooksville, passed away on November 17, 2025, at Genesis Healthcare Systems after a hard fought and strong battle with her health. Born on April 25, 1973, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, Gina’s life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the deep love she held for the people that were closest to her heart. Gina’s early years were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family. She was the cherished daughter of Janet (Lanning) Hodge and the beloved sister to Worden Hodge, Susie (George) Rosser, and Tammy Davis. Her family circle expanded with the joy of her nieces, Brittany (Andy) Brown, Georgia (Jimmy) Rosser, Grace Rosser, and her great-nieces and nephew, Amory and Audyn Brown, Nora Strang-Rosser, and Marshall Ward. Gina’s heart was big enough to encompass her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members, each of whom held a special place in her life. Known for her great tenacity, Gina approached every endeavor with a determination that was both inspiring and formidable. Once she set her mind to a task, she pursued it with a focus and dedication that assured its completion. Her exceptional memory was a source of amazement to her family and served her well throughout her life. Perhaps the most profound expression of Gina’s love and devotion was seen in the care she provided for her mother, Janet. She devoted her life to ensuring her mother’s comfort and happiness, a role she embraced with grace and selflessness. Gina’s love for her nieces and nephews was equally profound, and her excitement at their visits was a joy to behold. Their laughter and stories were the highlights of her days, and her influence on their lives is a legacy that will endure through generations. Gina’s interests were as vibrant and varied as her spirit. She was an avid fan of the group ABBA, and her love for music from the 70s and 80s was infectious. Her artistic talents were evident in the beauty she created, and her works were a source of pride for her family. An outdoor enthusiast, Gina found peace and rejuvenation in her walks, embracing the beauty of nature with every step. She was also a shopping enthusiast, known for her playful quirk of always picking up extra toilet paper, ensuring she and her loved ones were well-stocked for any life event.
