New Concord is prepared for a full night of holiday cheer at Christmas in the Village

NEW CONCORD, OH- New Concord is gearing up for one of its most cherished traditions as Christmas in the Village returns Monday, December 1. The community wide celebration brings lights, music, and plenty of holiday cheer. Organizers say this year’s lineup offers more to explore than ever.
Santa Village will begin the festivities in Village War Memorial Park where vendors will be set up from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Visitors can browse baked goods, crafts, and seasonal items, while churches nearby offer complimentary treats. Santa will stop by from 5 to 6 p.m., then return after the parade from 7 to 7:30 p.m. The park will also feature caroling and live animals.
Businesses throughout the village will open their doors with cookies, hot chocolate, and raffle opportunities both before and after the parade. Stops include Riesbeck’s, the John and Annie Glenn Museum, Harper’s Cabin, Park National Bank, the New Concord Library, The Community Bank, and more.
The East Muskingum School District’s tree lighting begins at 6 p.m. at NCE Park, featuring a performance by JG Company.
The New Concord Area Board of Trade parade steps off at 6:30 p.m., those attending will help choose a “crowd favorite” entry. Anyone interested in joining the parade can register on the New Concord Board of Trade’s website.
