The artists at The Art Loft are featured as the ArtCOZ Artist of the Month

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Artist of the Month for December is actually four artists who collectively form The Art Loft in Downtown Zanesville.

The art studio is formed by Susan Stubbins, Sally Luburgh, Linda Graham, and Susan Nash and hosts a wide variety of artistic mediums at 26 N. 3rd Street. Pieces like paper collages, alcohol ink, and in Nash’s case, textile and mixed-media art.

“I love playing with all the different rick-racks and buttons and all the good stuff I can put together on it. And I hope that my message comes through. It’s always pleasing for all of us, I think, when you create something and somebody sees what you saw in it or they see something in it that inspires them too,” Nash said.

The Artist Colony of Zanesville or ArtCOZ is hosting their monthly First Friday Art Walk this Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and The Art Loft is excited to showcase their work while highlighting fellow community artists.

“We’re looking forward to First Friday. We’ve got Dr. Laura Schumann’s going to be supplying music for us. You know, it’s so exciting to be able to include other talents, other artistic talents. So we’re tickled to have Dr. Laura here,” Nash said. “Mary Ramos is doing our snacks, our goodies for the night. She’s another artist in the community so we try to include all the artists. We hope everybody will come out and check us out.”
