ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority held it’s monthly meeting Wednesday.
Board members discussed the accomplishments they made this year.
“In 2016, our goal was to create more available sites and entertain conversation on how to increase the number of buildings businesses can locate into our community,” Executive Director, Matt Abbott said. “Very happy to report in 2016 we’re closing up a shovel ready site at the airport park. So we’re very excited about that, marketing will be kicking off the first of the year.”
Abbott said in 2015 the average annual wage increased by 4.9%. This year we are seeing a wage increase between 4 and 5%.
“Very positive attributes to existing companies here. They are the true job creators. We’re very excited for them. We’re also very excited for 2017 and what the future holds for Zanesville and Muskingum county,” Abbot said.
