David Roberts

David Roberts, 70, of Byesville, passed away Thursday (December 4, 2025) at Grant Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born August 5, 1955 in Cambridge, son of the late Eugene Roberts and Martha (May) Roberts.

David held several jobs during his lifetime at Fuel Mart serving as manager, Plus 1 Pizza of Cambridge serving as manager, Senior Center, Starfire of Cambridge, and Penske Trucking out of Columbus.

He was a member of the Stop Nine Church of Christ, Byesville.

David was a very kind and loving man with a great sense of humor. He loved his family, pets, and his Lord. He looked forward to seeing those that went before him. He is now in his heavenly home.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Connie (Oiler) Roberts, who passed away October 27, 2020. They were married October 20, 1989. David was also preceded in death by a brother, Russell Roberts; an infant sister, Marilyn Roberts; a nephew, Dusty Roberts; a sister-in-law, Jan Roberts; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James R. and Wilma Ross.

David is survived by his stepsons, Ronnie Berger (Jamie Swegard) and Roger (Melody) Berger; his grandchildren, Kameron, Aliya, Caiden, Cloey, Mecca, and Azazel; a sister, James (Susan) Davis of Caldwell; a brother, Dale Roberts of Cambridge; his brothers-in-law, Larry (Gail) Oiler and Jim (Chris) Ross; a sister-in-law, Shirley Ross-Bryan; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Angela (Brad) Douglas and her children.

Visitation will be held Tuesday (December 9, 2025) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Stop Nine Church of Christ, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Evan. Mark Beros officiating. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, is handling arrangements.

Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
