Lori Gebhart

Lori (Lorena Mae) Gebhart,71, of Cambridge, passed peacefully into her Heavenly Home with Jesus surrounded by love at Cambridge Place on Sunday, December 21, 2025 after a long hard fight with Dementia.
She was born April 23, 1954 in Akron, Ohio. She was the adopted daughter of the late Otis and Dorotha Gibson and daughter of Janice (David) Hanes and the late Norman (Carol) Ryan of Cleveland.
Lori was a 1972 graduate of Cambridge High School, Cambridge Beauty School, and a graduate of DeVry University. She had a long work career that included Williams and Company, and supervisory positions at County Line Cheese, Colgate Palmolive, and Avon Distribution Center. She also taught OSHA Safety Classes at Mail Pouch/Bloch Bros. facilities in Wheeling, West Virginia and Florida. She also taught computer courses and was the Coordinator of the Diversified Industrial Training at Mid-East Career and Technology Center Zanesville for the Adult Education program.
Lori loved spending time with her grandchildren, and they all loved the many sleepovers, movies snuggled on the couch, and the abundance of snacks. She also enjoyed playing the piano and guitar and singing gospel songs. Music always brought great comfort to her whether she was listening, singing, playing, or dancing. Everyone who spent time with Lori loved her. She was a strong and loving woman who will be missed deeply.
She was preceded in death by her adoptive parents Otis and Dorotha Gibson, her father Norman (Carol) Ryan, her mother-in-law Dorothy Gebhart and father-in-law Allen Gebhart.
She is survived by her daughters Beth (Bill) Jarvis and April (Donnie) Arnett and son Chris (Kylie) Gebhart, grandchildren Kacee and Carson Jarvis, Trevor (Blake) Arnett, Karlee, Camryn, Carter, Laney and Brynn Gebhart and great granddaughter Sophia Arnett.
She is also survived by her mother Janice (Dave) Hanes, siblings Jean (Joe) Hill, David (Cindy) Hanes, Norm (Janie) Ryan, Blaine (George) Ryan, Jimmy (Celesta) Ryan, Vickie (Tony) Willoughby, Sharon (Tim) Pilson, Shalean Ryan, Kelly (Mike) Figlia and Charlotte (Reggie) Newberry, ex-husband Gary Gebhart, and her in-laws Bill (Jackie) Gebhart, Jeff (Jackie) Gebhart and Brenda (Terry) Cooper. She also survived by many nieces and nephews.
We are very thankful for the care, comfort and memories the wonderful staff at Cambridge Place gave us the last seven years with Lori. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Cambridge Place for their activity fund or Shriver’s Hospice.
Calling hours will be held from 10:30 am-1:00 pm Friday, December 26, 2025, at Bonnell Cremations Funerals Receptions, 420 N. 8th St. Camb ridge, OH 43725, where services will take place at 1:00 pm with her son in-law Bill Jarvis officiating. Burial will follow at Northwood Cemetery.
