MVHC: Basketball Players of the Game (Monday, December 22nd)

MVHC Basketball

ZANESVILLE, OH – Gifts may be coming a little early this year for some local athletes on the basketball court, as the stars of last week are on full display with our latest ‘MVHC’ Players of the Game.

We start on AM 1240 with a much improved Zanesville team this season across the board. The Blue Devils split results between their matchups a week ago against Newark Catholic and Licking Heights. Even in the loss to a talented Hornets squad, Zarion Bryant played his part with eight points off the bench.

Meadowbrook had an early game last Tuesday on Highway 103, in which the team squeaked out a 41-38 road victory over Coshocton. Sophomore guard Jake Burris has really made a giant leap this season, pouring in eleven points in the victory.

We wrap it up with the top team right now in the Muskingum Valley League big school division, that being John Glenn, which defeated Sheridan in grand fashion. The Muskies featured two 20-point scorers in the game, one of whom was senior guard CJ Dolan.

Congratulations to all three athletes.
