Paul Stoney

On December 31, 2025, Paul A. Stoney went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Paul passed away at home surrounded by his family at the age of 85.
He was born May 14, 1940 in Senecaville, son of the late Andy Stoney and Katherine (Hall) Stoney.
Paul was a very intensely loyal husband, father, grandfather and business founder that supported everyone that encountered him. Paul never met a stranger and would gladly help anyone in need to get them back on their feet.
Paul was employed by several organizations throughout his life including RCA, NCR and Burns Drilling before going out on his own to establish Stoney’s RV in the early eighties. He started Stoney’s RV along with his wife Janalea on the family farm located between Byesville and Senecaville and later relocated to its current location in Cambridge in 1991. Stoney’s RV is still family owned and operated to this day, operated by some of Paul’s children and grandchildren.
Paul loved camping with his family over the years and often found himself helping fellow campers complete various RV repairs as needed. He lovingly became known as the RV Dr. because he could fix just about anything RV related and beyond. Paul was an extremely hard worker dedicated to his craft and tirelessly supportive of his family and business associates.
Paul also enjoyed farming on the family farm, putting up hay, raising corn crops and running a small cattle herd. Later in life he really enjoyed spending time with his family and specifically grandchildren in teaching them how to run the family farm in general for future generations to come.
He was a 1958 graduate of Senecaville High School and he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shelba Stoney Roller; his in-laws, Herschel and Alta Mae (Moore) Davis; and his special dog, Sarah.
Paul is survived by his wife, Janalea (Davis) Stoney, whom he married October 8, 1961; three sons, Bryan (Chris) Stoney of Byesville, Scott (Holly) Stoney of Byesville, and Greg (Kendra) Stoney of Byesville; a daughter, Renee (David) Malin of Bridgeport; a brother, Bill (Sandy) Stoney of Senecaville; a sister, Melva Hall of Cambridge; twelve grandchildren, Nathan, Amanda, Adam, Hannah, Tim, Kevin, Chance, Sydney, Katie, Aubree, Kynidee, and Brantley; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Rodney and Diane Koon. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Guernsey and Paul’s caregiver, Stacey Saxton, for the care and kindness they provided.
Visitation will be held Monday (January 5, 2026) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and also Tuesday (January 6, 2026) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday (January 6, 2026) at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, with Bryan Olden officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Paul’s name to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
