Melva (Stoney) Hall

Melva Ann (Stoney) Hall, 82, formerly of Senecaville and Cambridge, went peacefully to her Lord on January 10, 2026 at Countryview near Old Washington.
She was born March 21, 1943 in Senecaville, daughter of the late Andy Stoney and Katherine (Hall) Stoney. She was a 1961 graduate of Byesville High School.
She was employed at the former March Electric plant in Cambridge, and later at the Guernsey County Home. She touched many lives as a foster parent for several years. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.
She loved participating in church activities, spending time with her grandchildren, knitting, and quilting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester E. Hall, whom she married on July 17, 1976; her sister, Shelba Jean Roller; her brother, Paul A. Stoney; sons Gary Hall, and Wayne Hall.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved sons, Dwayne (YeVonda) Hall, Gene (Becki) Pointer, Andy (Lori) Pointer, Robert “Bobby” (Jamie) Pointer, and; her brother, William “Bill” (Sandy) Stoney; her sister-in-law, Janalea Stoney; her grandchildren Madison Hall, Kellen (Cara) Hall, Jessica (Justin) Stevens, Dillon (Mackenzie) Pointer, Addie (Derek) Flinner, Matthew (Victoria) Pointer, Emily Pointer, Thomas Pointer, Parker Pointer, Lindsey (Luke) Olsen, Logan Hall, Laura Hall, Bethany (Jonathon) Wilde, and Denny Hall; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday (January 14, 2026) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Black Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, where services will follow at 12 p.m. with Evan. Mark Beros officiating.
Burial will follow at the Senecaville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations in Melva’s memory to Countryview Assisted Living Center, 62825 County Home Road, Lore City, OH 43755.
