Chesne Long

Chesne Hannah Long, 19, of Caldwell, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026. She was born on August 1, 2006 in Cambridge, OH the precious daughter of Brent and Kristen Stephen Long.
Chesne brought light, laughter, and kindness into the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a faithful member of Caldwell Church of Christ. Chesne was a 2025 graduate of Caldwell High School where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She was an accomplished volleyball player holding numerous school records. She loved music, her cat Luca, horse Saylor, her friends, family, and her yearly Gatlinburg and Lakewood trips.
She was preceded in death by her hero, Pap Kevin Stephen, whom she missed every day; great-grandpas Carl Forshey and Dale Stephen; uncle Darrel Forshey.
She is deeply loved and survived by her parents, Brent and Kristen Long, her devoted brother Beckett Long; grandparents Galen and Candie Long; aunt Carrie Long; great-uncle and great-aunt Richard and Carolyn Rutherford; special cousin Danny Wilson; grandma Shila “Shinny” Stephen; uncle Jedidiah (Katie) Stephen; cherished cousins Rhian, Allie, and Kolton Stephen; great-grandmas Shirley Stephen and Sue Forshey; great-aunts and great-uncles Donna (Tim) Boyd, Denise (Jim) Wells, Lisa (Larry) Cowgill, Jason (Jenn) Stephen, Carla Cook, Shari (David) Gann, and Stacy (Bob) Guy; many special cousins.
Though Chesne’s time with us was far too short, Chesne’s life was meaningful and her love will live on in every heart she touched.
The family will receive friends for visitation Friday, January 16, 2026 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Kris Bright officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Pap.
