Donald Benson

Donald Junior Benson, 78 of Kimbolton, passed away peacefully at his home on January 15, 2026, under the care of Interim Hospice.
He was born on July 6, 1947, in Canton, Ohio, son of the late Lauren Donald Benson and Grace Elizabeth (Hester) Benson.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Diannia Benson; stepson, Mike Poling; daughter, Nicole Benson; son, Brian Benson; grandchildren, Brianna, Peyton, and Jacob; great grandchildren, Billy, Koda and Elijah; brother, Mike (Tonya) Dean; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Barb and Tony Gearhart; brothers-in-law, Walt Persinger, Henry Persinger, John Higgins, and Scott Deyo; sisters-in-law, Angela Taylor, Brenda Sprauge, Christine Gearhart; Aunt, Denise Hester; mother-in-law, Lenora Persinger; many nieces and nephews; his beloved Addy, who was by his side till the very end, his little faithful furry companion.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Lauren Benson and Grace Elizabeth Hester; sister, Pamela Deyo; stepfather, Sunny Dean; sisters-in-law, Connie Higgins, Myrtle Ray; brother-n-law, Ernie Persinger; his beloved Uncle, Bob Hester.
The family would like to thank Dr. Pat Goggin and the staff at Medical Associates and Interim-in-home nursing and Interim Hospice for the great care they gave over the last weeks and months.

In Heaven far above, and that I’d have to leave behind all those that I dearly Love. But when I walked through heaven’s gates, I felt so much at home, for God looked down, and smiled and said Welcome home! So, when tomorrow starts without me don’t think that we’re apart, for every time you think of me. I’m right there in your heart.”
Cremation will take place at Bonnell Funeral home in Cambridge, and memorial will take place at a later date.
