ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The 25th Annual Ethnic Food Fair held by Zane State College Culinary Arts Students happened January 13, 2017.

The Ethnic Food Fair had four options of entrees such as Italian, soul, Japanese, and Mexican. Chef, Marco Adornetto said the students had to start working around 7:30 A.M. and went non-stop until the Food Fair was over and the kitchen was cleaned up.

“We finally came together everything has been cooked, prepped either on the hot line, or the chafing dish, or the hot box is ready to go,” Adornetto said. “So we got a packed house out there. So I’m sure we’ll have enough food and we’ve worked really hard today, the students have.”

Adornetto said the students have worked very hard while planning and preparing for today.

“Instead of maybe cooking to order in a restaurant or maybe cooking 6 portions or 12 portions, this is cooking for 300 to 350 people,” said Adornetto. “So it’s just a large swell, large scale and I nice opportunity to see the different side like you go into banquettes and catering.”

Adornetto said the Ethnic Food Fair is held annually around this time to celebrate Martin Luther King Junior.
