Robert Dickerson

Robert E. Dickerson age 81, of Batesville, OH passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at his home. He was born August 10, 1944 to the late Harold and Ella Bean Dickerson of Barnesville, OH.

He graduated from Barnesville High School in 1962. Bob has worked for Moore’s Stores, Ormet Corp. and later retired from American Electric Power where he worked as a meter reader and in customer service for many years. After retirement, he greatly enjoyed camping and volunteering at Seneca Lake. He was a people person and loved talking to anyone and everyone. He enjoyed sitting on the back porch and talking to people as they passed by, especially Wayne and Carl.

The loves of his life were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He cherished being involved in their lives and following all their activities. He was proud of every one of them.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Shirley Moran.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Vicki Morgan Dickerson; daughters Amy (Alan) McPeek of Batesville and Amanda (Richard) Best of Pomeroy, OH; grandchildren Savannah (Shawn) Conrad and Austin (Mariah) McPeek; great-grandchildren Auroriella Conrad, Alexis Conrad and Cohen McPeek; brother Harold Dickerson Jr. of Woodsfield, OH; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Cremation will be observed and a memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Batesville United Methodist Church, 115 Main Pike Street Quaker City, OH 43773. A memorial service will conclude visitation Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Van Fisher officiating. Inurnment will be held in Batesville Cemetery in Batesville at a later date.
