Thomas “Tom” Hatfield

Thomas “Tom” Joseph Hatfield, 58 of Zanesville died Tuesday morning, January 27, 2026, at his home following a sudden illness.

He was born on Wednesday, June 14, 1967, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of Robert “Bob” M. Hatfield Sr. and the late, Charlene A. Kuhn Hatfield.

Tom graduated in 1985 from Zanesville High School and as a junior in high school he started working at WHIZ, where he continued to work for 40 plus years as a communications technician. He enjoyed golfing, riding his four-wheeler and was an avid fan of dirt track racing and Cincinnati Reds baseball.

In addition to his father he is survived by a daughter, Shelby L. Hatfield; his three siblings, Robert “Bob” (Mollie) Hatfield Jr., and twins Mike (Tracie) Hatfield and Tracey (Brad) Graf; his pet cat, JoJo; and numerous friends including Greg Todd and Dan Worstall.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00PM on Sunday, February 1, 2026, with funeral service at 11:00 AM Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Burial will conclude at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
