Robert “Bob” Nykile

Robert “Bob” E. Nykile, 82 Zanesville, died 5:55 AM, Friday, January 30, 2026, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. He was born Monday, April 5, 1943, in Zanesville, the son of John Nykile and Margaret (Gallis) Nykile.

Bob retired from Burnham Boiler following over 45 years of service. He was a member of Eagles Arie # 302. Bob had many hobbies of which yard work and working around the house, remodeling, gambling, eating, cooking and going for long walks.

Bob is survived by his companion, Carol Smith; two sons, Robert (Corrine Winland) Nykile and Travis (Sarah Elizabeth) Nykile; grandchildren, Kaitlyn M. (Anthony Joseph) Nykile, Chase (Maddie) Nykile, Dakota (Brittany) Gibbons, Darrick (Christy) Gibbons, Ezekiel Nykile and Elijah Nykile; several great grandchildren; one sister Millie Harrison; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one son, Gary Nykile and one brother, & sister-in-law, John & Linda Nykile.
