Ronald Otto Jorgenson April 3, 1935 – January 30, 2026
Ron, age 90, of New Lexington Ohio, formerly of Pontiac, Michigan passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend to many. Ron and his family relocated to New Lexington, OH in 1975 when he was transferred by his employer, ITT Higbie, (Cooper Standard) where hewas the Fixture Design Manager of the Fluid Handling Systems. When Ron was young he spent his summers in Reed City, MI at his Grandparents farm, Otto and Florence Miller his Uncle Frederick and Aunt Fern and cousins, that he would refer to as his brothers,Otto, Carl and Curtis. He loved those summers and when he moved to New Lexington he purchased a small farm, cows, pigs, chickens, horses, and a goat named Danny. Ron was an avid sportsman. He loved to golf, deer hunt, and fish. He made many primative fishing trips to Canada with friends, his son, son-in-law, and grandsons. He also found great joy coaching or attending his childrens, grandchildrens and great-greatchildrens sporting events from little leagues through College to Major leagues. Cheerleading to softball, football, baseball, basketball, golf, track, soccer, swimming and dance recitals. His pride and joy.
Ron is surived by his Children; Karen (Tim) Brady, Cindy (Mike) Lollo, Rocky Jorgenson, Janet (Jim) Stafford, Michelle (Sue) Jorgenson. His Grandchildren; Lauren Malone, Mathew (Rachel) Brady, Nick (Linda) Lollo, Mark Lollo, Ron (Abbi) Jorgenson, Kelly Ayers and Kristy (Justin) Peyton. His Great-grandchildren Kaiden Beck, Filo Malone, Macie Lollo, Benjamin Lollo, Zachary Lollo and Dylan Padgett. And his sister Cheryl Tucker and many cherished nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by “His Bride” of 71 years Bernie, his parents Roland and Doris (Miller) Jorgenson, his Sister and Brother in Law Darlene (Wilbur) Hull and Brother in Law Rusty Tucker.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, February 4, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm at Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill St. New Lexington. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 11:00am at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with burial to follow at New Lexington Cemetery.
