Charges Filed on 3 Suspects

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s office has announced charges have been filed against 3 individuals following an investigation.
According to the Prosecutor’s office, the investigation started after the Muskingum County Sheriff’s office received an anonymous tip that a registered sex offender was not residing at his registered address.
Detectives followed up on the tip, issued a search warrant for the residence, and charged Michael Nethers with 2 counts of failing to register as well as tampering with evidence.
During the investigation, officials found that a family with their one-year-old child were also staying at the home with Nethers. They found multiple firearms as well as drugs belonging to the couple.
Officials charged Dakota Stires with having weapons under disability, tampering with evidence, endangering children, and obstructing official business. They also charged Samantha Miller for having weapons under disability and endangering children.
All 3 remain in the County Jail.
