Dorothy Gutridge

Dorothy Kathryn Gutridge, 95 of Mt. Perry died at 10:00 AM Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Clay Gardens Place under hospice care.
She was born December 19, 1930 in Morgan County the daughter of Ernest Paul Tennent and Helen Mae Herron Tennent.
Dorothy was 1948 graduate of Malta-McConnelsville High School and a former employee at Line Material Industries. She was a member of Gratiot United Methodist Church, a homemaker who enjoyed canning and freezing, lawn mowing, and especially caring for her family,
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Donald “Pete” L. Gutridge; two sons, Patrick (Kim J.) Gutridge and Brett (Fawn) Gutridge; a daughter, Kim K. (David) Zornow-Snider; a step-daughter, Kristy Bidlack; a step-son, Randy Gutridge; six grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor and Wesley Gutridge, Ashley (Nick) Schumacher, Amanda and Emily Zornow; and a great granddaughter, Kasey Schumacher and a great grandson on the way. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Tennent; two brothers, Gerald and Donald Tennent; and a son-in-law, Steve Zornow.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 with the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Bryan and Hardwick Funeral Home with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will conclude at the Poplar Forks Cemetery, Gratiot, OH.
