Navada Roberts

Navada Gaye Roberts, 75 of New Lexington Ohio, passed away peacefully at 12:30 AM on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the Fairhope Hospice, The Pickering House, Lancaster, Ohio after a short battle of cancer.

Born October 3rd 1950 in Mason, West Virginia. Gaye was a soul deeply connected to the simple beauties of life. The beach was her happy place where the sounds of waves the warmth of the sun and the endless horizon brought peace and joy. Whether walking along the shoreline collecting sea shells or simply sitting on her balcony watching the tide roll in. Gaye found comfort and peace by the water. She had a special love for hummingbirds, she would often pause mid conversation just to point out a hummingbird hovering nearby. She thought hummingbirds were tiny reminders of Hope, resilience and beauty. She also had a love for camping. She felt most at home beneath the open stars gathered around a campfire, sharing stories, laughter, or playing her favorite game of aggravation. Creating memories that will live on in the hearts of who all shared them. Above all, Gaye loved deeply and lived gently. Her kindness, warmth, and appreciation for life’s small wonders touches everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, simple joys, and a reminder to slow down and save the beauty around us.

Gaye is survived by her husband of 25 years, Francis Eugene Roberts; 3 children, Shana (Rick) Barnette, Mike (Kathy) Robinson and Blyth (Logan) Rodgers; 2 step daughters, Tammy (Greg) Cook and Tina (Jake) Holstein; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and her brother, Gene (Connie) Russell. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews with whom she shared close bonds especially her nephew Kevin Russell.

She is preceded in death by her parents Kathryn M. Russell and John M. Russell; brother, Bill (Sharon) Russell; 2 step-sisters, Marvalene (Glenn) Stoller and Janis (Sheldon) Wahl; and a step brother Richard (Ruth) Russell.

Calling hours will be held from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday March 5, 2026 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 6, 2026 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Gilkerson officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Lexington Cemetery, New Lexington, Ohio. The family would like to invite family and friends to the Grace Community Church in New Lexington, Ohio after the burial for dinner.
