ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Follies Family will be presenting their annual variety show– Follies Rock– which benefits Genesis Hospice next Saturday.

More than 100 volunteers within the community, ranging from ages five-and-up, will gather to perform in the event which is taking place for the fourth consecutive year.

“The Follies Family is a non-profit organization and this is our show that we put on every year and this year’s theme if Follies Rock. We will have over 120 people on stage at different times. It will be great fun; we’re going to have some comedy, we’ll have some singing, we’ll have some dancing and it will be a great show,” said volunteer Cathy Winland.

It’s the Follies Family mission to provide monetary support in Muskingum, Morgan, and Perry counties for those in need of end-of-life hospice care. They have provided more than $25,000 each year since the benefit started.

“This benefits Genesis Hospice because hospice care is free for everyone, they accept insurance, and nobody is ever turned away from hospice. So most people that are here from the Follies Family have had someone in their family or a loved one or a friend that has been touched by hospice care, and that’s why everybody is here,” added Winland.

The show will take place in the Secrest Auditorium Saturday, March 18th at 2PM and again at 8PM. Tickets are available at the box office or on ticketleap.com.
