Pet of the Week!

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Animal Shelter introduced us to “Prada” today, and no we’re not talking about fashion. we’re talking about our pet of the week.

Animal Shelter Assistant Director Charity Stevens says that Prada would be a perfect fit for any type of family. Whether your looking for a couch potato or a running partner, Prada would make the perfect companion.

“I would like to introduce you to Miss Prada. Prada is about 4 years old, she is a little Staffy mix. She is a love-bug, as you can see; she just wants to be scratched, petted, walked. Loves all people, doesn’t meet a stranger. She’s just a typical dog,” said Stevens.

Stevens adds that Prada is great with other animals and is as loving, and easy-going as they come. she’s just looking for a forever home.

“She’s been here since January, she was actually owner-surrendered because they couldn’t afford the vet care; just the basics to have a dog, the vaccines and different things. They brought her to us so she’s up to date on all her vaccines, she spade, micro-chipped, ready to go,” Stevens added.

Prada’s adoption fee has been reduced to $70 plus a tag fee. Any interested parties please contact the shelter at (740)452-1077.

The Animal Shelter also reminds you that their third annual “Yappy Hour” will be held between 5-7PM on March 30th at the Zanesville Country Club. Auctioned items will be available with proceeds going back to the animals. Individual tickets cost $30.00 or $50.00 for couples. Tickets purchased at the door will be $40.00.
