Muskingum Rec Center Celebrates 3rd Anniversary

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — The Muskingum Recreation Center is offering a membership referral program during the month of march as a thank you to community members.

March 31st will be the three-year anniversary of the local Rec Center and Manager of Membership and Training Development Michele Gross says the plan is designed to benefit current members, as well as encourage new ones.

“We wanted to thank our patrons and our community by extending a great deal to them. And how it works is that if I’m a member, I bring in a friend, I save $10/month off my membership, my friend saves $10/month off her membership or his membership, as well as the $100 initiation fee,” said Gross.

Gross adds that there is no limit on the number of referrals you can make– if enough referrals are made your membership could be reduced to $0. The only limit to the referral program is that there is no “cash back” for referrals. She also reminds community members to check and see if their companies have discounts with the Rec Center. Any referral discounts can be used in addition to corporate discounts.

With all of the different amenities the Recreation Center has to offer, Gross explains that there is something for everyone in the community to take advantage of.

We have an eight-lane lap pool, we have a warm-water activity pool, we have a full gymnasium college sized which can also be partitioned into two high school sized gym courts. We have a hot yoga studio, we have our group exercise classes that are all lead by licensed instructors, and we have our awesome fitness floor,” Gross added.
