John McIntire Library Holds “Drop Everything, and Build” Program

ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Local kids went to the John McIntire Library yesterday to show off their creative side.
The children participated in the “Drop Everything, and Build” program, designed to gives kids an opportunity to spend time with their families and other kids while building displays out of Legos.
“It’s a two hour program and we put out our Duplo blocks here and just let the kids go at it and build whatever they want and have fun and we put it on display here so they can let their stuff be known and put their name on it. It’s really fun to see what they build,” said library associate Jazmyn Tabler.
Tabler also explained that while the Drop Everything, and Build event is usually only done once a month, the library does hold other events on a regular basis that you can keep up with by subscribing to their monthly newsletter.
“We do a drop in program at least once a month, but sometimes we do a couple things a month. We do different science programs and craft things. We have a monthly newsletter that you can get here at the library, you can get it sent to you online, Or you can have it mailed to your house directly and sign up here at the library directly,” Tabler added.
