Evelyn Wilson

Evelyn Fern (Gebhart) Wilson, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed peacefully on March 6, 2026, at Altercare in Zanesville.
Born on March 9, 1930, in Zanesville, Ohio, Evelyn was a loving mother whose life was marked by unwavering faith, generosity, and a deep love for her family. She was a founding member of The Anchor Church of Zanesville (The Apostolic Gospel Church).
Evelyn was the beloved daughter of Carl Walter Gebhart and Eva Mary Matilda (Allen) Gebhart, both of whom preceded her in death. She was one of thirteen siblings and is survived by one sister, Julianne Gilwreath. She was preceded in death by her other brothers and sisters: Dewey Gebhart, Doris Godwin, Edwin Gebhart, Eleanor Black, Esther Fields, Herman Gebhart, Janet Smith, Jerry Gebhart, Lavonne (Bartlett) Marple, Ruby Ethell, and Shirley Wheeler.
She was married to the late Henry Wilson, who also preceded her in death.
She was a loving mother to four children: Raymond Mauller Jr., Arta Miller (Billy), Mark (Candy) Mauller, and Carolyn (Jim) Gladman. She also leaves behind many treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends and loved ones who affectionately knew her as “Little Grandma.”
Evelyn’s quiet strength, steadfast faith, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her deep devotion to God, her care for others, and the countless moments she spent encouraging and guiding her family.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday March 10, 2026 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Pastor Tony Richard officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Union Cemetery.
